Hardy Finishes Third At Auburn Diving Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. – For the second straight day, a Georgia Tech diver finished in the top three as the Auburn Diving Invitational rolled on Tuesday. Ashley Hardy collected a third-place finish on the 1m springboard to lead the Yellow Jackets.

Hardy found herself in third place after the prelims with a score of 281.50, and held on to that top-three position with a score of 277.40 in Tuesday’s finals.

Shannon Lumbra, who yesterday took third on the 3m, was in ninth after the prelims with a score of 253.90. The freshman improved on that with a score of 256.26 in the finals, which was good for eighth place.

Sarah Roethel scored 195.05 in the prelims, and followed that with a score of 185.05 in the finals and placed 12th.

The platform diving event concludes Auburn Invitational on Wednesday.
