@GTSwimDive hosts GT Invite

Nov. 18, 2015

THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech swimming & diving team will host the Georgia Tech Invitational Thursday through Saturday at the McAuley Aquatic Center. The field will consist of Alabama, Arkansas, Campbell, Carson-Newman, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, Hawai`i (diving only), Indian River CC, UNLV, UNC Asheville and South Carolina along with Tech.

This weekend marks the conclusion of the Jackets’ fall season. After final exams, the swimming & diving team will take part in winter training in Florida, competing against Cincinnati and FAU on Dec. 18 in Naples.

The Jackets last competed Nov. 4 at Georgia, where the men and women fell to the Bulldogs. The men are currently 3-1 in dual meets this season, while the women are 1-4.

“We’re looking forward to having 12 teams on campus for our invite,” head coach Courtney Shealy Hart said. “It will be the end of our fall season, and I’m excited to see where the athletes are. It’s a great competition, both on the women’s and men’s sides. We encourage everyone to come by and cheer on the Georgia Tech athletes.”
