Sept. 4, 2006

ATLANTA – Senior David Herren was named Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country Performer of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Herren finished 11th overall leading the Jackets to a top-five finish at the Belmont Opener last weekend.

Herren, a senior from Rome, Ga., was the top finisher for the Jackets, posting a time of 15:14.09 on the 5K course, just over 13 seconds off the individual champion’s time of 15:01.09. The race featured 11 total teams, 10 of which were division I schools.
