Georgia Tech Wraps Up Day One of Women's ACC Championships

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Sophomore Carolina Jones, senior Alison Walker, sophomore Mari McLeod and freshman Lisa Pucci clocked a time of 1:47.77 in the 200-yard medley relay to finish ninth to lead the Georgia Tech women’s swimming and diving team at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships on Wednesday night.

Defending ACC champion Florida State leads after day one, finishing the night with 72 points. Tech stands 10th after the first day with 32 points.

The 800 freestyle relay team of freshman Jing Li, junior Elizabeth Stowe, Jones and freshman Taylor Flynn posted a time of 7:38.52 to touch the wall in 10th place.

The conference meet will continue on Thursday morning with prelims at 11 a.m., followed by finals at 7 p.m. The entire meet can be followed on www.ramblinwreck.com.
