THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech track and field team is set to compete Friday and Saturday at the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, S.C. A handful of distance events and throwing events are scheduled for Friday afternoon, while the majority of the action will take place on the second day of competition.

Tech will compete in the men’s 800 meters, and the men’s and women’s 1500 meters on Friday, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

In the Jackets’ most recent action, the men’s 4×800-meter relay team of Cole Jackob, Zack Fanelty, Jeremy Greenwald and Brandon Lasater took third at the Penn Relays. Freshman Myles McDavid placed second in the long jump, and Katie Townsend placed fifth in the 10,000 meters in a personal-record time of 35:01.75.

Following the Bob Pollock Invitational, the Jackets will close out the regular season next weekend when they host the Georgia Tech Invitational.
