Georgia Tech to Host Clemson Tuesday Afternoon

March 3, 2008

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team (8-2) returns to Atlanta to host its first Atlantic Coast Conference home match-up of the year when the Clemson Tigers (9-6) travel to the Bill Moore Tennis Center Tuesday afternoon for a 2:30 p.m. start.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 5-2 road loss to Florida State in their ACC opener in Tallahassee last weekend. Tech picked up the doubles point and senior David North won in the No. 2 singles spot.

The series between the Jackets and Clemson has favored the Tigers in the past as they lead the series 26-14. Tech came away with a 4-3 win last year at Clemson.

Up next for the Jackets is a visit from Miami Friday beginning at 2:30 p.m. Tech will then travel to Athens to take on third-ranked Georgia at 1:00 p.m. next Wednesday, March 18.
