First-round draft choice Josh Okogie has been highlight-worthy at times during the Minnesota Timberwolves games so far in Las Vegas … That and more in this edition of the Georgia Tech #ProJackets Basketball Report.
Okogie, selected 20th overall by Minnesota in the recent NBA Draft, has made some highlight reels with some of his plays in the four games he has played, helping the Timberwolves to a 2-2 record so far in Las Vegas. The 6-4 former Yellow Jacket has started all four games, averaging 32.5 minutes per game while toggling between the point and shooting guard positions. He has averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game, stuffing the stat sheet as he regularly did on The Flats for the Yellow Jackets.
His best game thus far came in a 103-92 Timberwolves win over Toronto Sunday, when he scored 16 points with four rebounds, one assist and no turnovers, two steals and a block in 34 minutes. Okogie went 5-for-15 from the floor and 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
