Derrick Favors appeared to be on the mend from his nagging ankle injury when he poured in his ninth double-double of the year against the Sacramento Kings. Favors scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the 120-105 victory, just a day removed from a 16-point, seven-rebound, three-steal effort against the Pacers. As the Minnesota Timberwolves have strung together four wins in its last five, Marcus Georges-Hunt was able to score two points and grab one rebound in the 120-103 victory over the Portland Trailblazers. His four-minute stint off the bench was his highest since Jan. 10 when he played 11 minutes in the 16-point win over the Thunder. Wolves head coach Tom Thibodeau said that “[Marcus has brought] toughness, which is what we needed. [He’s] a great practice guy, a great teammate. [He’s] young and getting better.”
Jarrett Jack continues to be a bright light of consistent play in the New York Knicks’ recent stretch of games, dropping four of their last five. Jack has recorded eight assists in three of his last four outings, with outputs of 22 and 18 points against the Pelicans and Timberwolves, respectively. In Wednesday’s six-point loss to Memphis, Jack was held to just two points overall but still managed eight assists to keep things close. Now five games below .500, the Knicks will try to bounce back at Utah on Friday at 10:30 p.m.

Thaddeus Young has led the Pacers to a 4-1 record over the last week, scoring in double-digits in each of his outings throughout. In the 109-94 victory over Utah on Monday, Young scored 17 points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 36 minutes – his most amount of minutes since the Cavs on Jan. 12 (39). As Indiana tries to keep a winning streak going into the All-Star Break, the Pacers head to Portland on Thursday with tip scheduled for 10 p.m.
