BLACKSBURG, Va. โย Georgia Tech softball (13-23) was outdone by No. 15 Virginia Tech (28-7), falling 12-0 in the series finale at Tech Softball Park on Sunday. Sophomore right hander Blake Neleman made her 12th start and 18th appearance in the circle this season as three other Jacket pitchers saw action throughout the game (Naomi Dickerson, Lexi Ray, Palmer Pinholster).
Virginia Tech went up early, scoring the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the opening frame. The Hokies followed that with a pair of two-run homeruns and three-run bombs in the second and third innings to take an 11-0 lead. Virginia Tech added one more solo shot in the fourth to come away with the 12-0 win in five innings.
