THE FLATS – TheGeorgia Tech softball team is back in action with a three-game home series against NC State before hitting the road for 12 straight games. Saturday’s doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. and they will be Tech’s StrikeOut Cancer Games as the Yellow Jackets will wear pink jerseys to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Join us and wear your pink for this special day. The Yellow Jackets will auction off their game-worn pink jerseys March 28-April 11 on RamblinWreck.com, with all proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Sunday’s single game is slated to begin at 12 p.m. The Yellow Jackets will welcome more than 20 alumni back to the Flats and recognize them prior to first pitch.
The three games will by key for the Yellow Jackets as Georgia Tech (11-21, 4-8 ACC) is currently in eighth place in the ACC and NC State (17-12, 4-2 sits in fifth place. The top eight teams qualify for the ACC Tournament May 7-9 in Blacksburg, Va.
Admission is free and fans are encouraged to park in the McCamish Lot and should be aware there is a Georgia Tech track meet Saturday across the street from Mewborn Field.
