A conversation with Georgia Tech head coach Chan Gailey will be featured on “In My Own Words,” a 30-minute program airing Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m. on Turner South.
“In My Own Words,” which began in early May, features prominent college football and basketball coaches plus legends from baseball, hockey, tennis and golf as well as notable sports writers and broadcasters. Throughout June, the conversation series features head football coaches from the Atlantic Coast Conference and Southeastern Conference as FSN South and Turner South will air episodes on selected coaches from both leagues.
The coaches will go one-on-one with reporter Paul Crane, revealing their true personalities and delivering glimpses at their careers through their own eyes.
Among the thoughts Gailey shares are his take on where Georgia Tech fits into the new Atlantic Coast Conference’s football hierarchy; how having been an NFL head coach has helped him in the college game; the challenges he faces as he begins his fifth year with the Yellow Jackets; and about the abilities of his outstanding wide receiver, Calvin Johnson.
