Football Begins with Kickoff Banquet, Fan Photo Day

ATLANTA–Georgia Tech kicks off the 2003 football season with the Kickoff Banquet on Friday, Aug. 1 at the Cobb Galleria Center, followed by Tech’s annual Fan Photo Day on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 1-3 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field.

FOOTBALL KICKOFF BANQUET

Friday, Aug. 1, 7-11 p.m., Cobb Galleria Center

Georgia Tech fans are invited to attend the Kickoff Banquet, featuring head football coach Chan Gailey, on Friday, Aug. 1 from 7-11 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Center.

Tickets for the Kickoff Banquet are $40, with all proceeds benefitting Tech athletics scholarships. The cost includes reserved seating, dinner, a live band, and parking.

Wes Durham, the Voice of the Yellow Jackets, will serve as Master of Ceremonies, and the Georgia Tech cheerleaders, Buzz and the Rambling Wreck will be on hand.

Reservations for the Kickoff Banquet must be made by July 29 as no walk-ups will be permitted. FAN PHOTO DAY

Saturday, Aug. 2, 1-3 p.m. Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field

Head coach Chan Gailey, his staff and the entire 2003 Rambling Wreck squad will be available for photos and autographs at Georgia Tech’s annual Fan Photo Day on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 1-3 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field.

Fan Photo Day will take place in the Richards Festival concourse area on the west side of Bobby Dodd Stadium. Admission is free.

Free parking will be available in Peters Parking Deck and the Burge Parking Deck on North Avenue. Fans should enter from Gate 1 on North Avenue or Gate 3 behind the West Stands. Due to construction, Gate 4 on Bobby Dodd Way will not be available, but fans parking in Peters Parking Deck will be directed to Gate 3.

Buzz, the Rambling Wreck and the Tech cheerleaders will also be on hand. Free Georgia Tech football posters will be distributed to all fans in attendance. Concessions will be available, as well as merchandise from the Georgia Tech Bookstore. Georgia Tech’s 2003 football media guides will also be on sale.
