Enhancing The Pre-Game Tailgate Experience

May 19, 2014

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech is enhancing its football game-day experience by offering Yellow Jacket fans a valet style, turnkey pre-game tailgating experience this fall.

This unique and exclusive pre-game tailgating experience, operated by Tailgate Guys, is similar to what is happening on the campuses of Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M and others.

Founded in 2009, Tailgate Guys will set up all the tailgating equipment on Tech Green, located just a few blocks from Bobby Dodd Stadium. Tailgate Guys does all the heavy lifting, erecting tents, chairs and even full media packages on Yellow Jacket game days. Guests will have the option to reserve coolers filled with ice; paper products and utensils, as well as several choices for full-service catering.

“We’re pleased to roll-out yet another festive and exciting element to game days on the Flats for Georgia Tech football fans,” said Rick Thorpe, Georgia Tech’s Associate Athletic Director. “This partnership with industry leader Tailgate Guys allows us the opportunity to deliver a customizable tailgate village concept, providing fans the ability to come into the heart of campus without having to deal with set-up nor tear-down… just enjoy the fantastic atmosphere.”

Based on early feedback, Georgia Tech officials expect reservations to fill quickly. Additional information can be found at www.tailgateguys.com or by calling 404-430-6765.

“We’re excited to bring our services to not only Georgia Tech, but a new conference as well,” said Parker Duffy, President and CEO of Tailgate Guys. “We appreciate the warm welcome from the Tech family and look forward to getting started this fall.”
