NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A trio of Georgia Tech men’s doubles pairings won their matches at the Commodore Invitational Saturday, sweeping the doubles action.
Chen Dong/Keshav Chopra dominated the pairing of Fanlo/Malea of Memphis, 8-3 and Brandon McKinney/Ángel Guerrero Melgar outlasted Rock/Edgar of Memphis, 8-6.
The singles action had two wins coming from Dong and Guerrero Melgar. Dong cruised to a victory in his match against Pau Fanlo of Memphis, 6-1, 6-1. Guerrero Melgar settled his match with a 6-4, 6-3, victory over Sam Edgar of Memphis.
The final day of the Commodore Invitational is Sunday when the Yellow Jackets players will take on some familiar faces from ACC rivals UNC.
