CARY, N.C. – Forced to play inside due to inclement weather, Georgia Tech women’s tennis played two sessions of singles action on the third day of the College Ranked Spotlight on Saturday.

Facing Ohio State’s Teah Chavez, Cruz won a hard-fought tilt against the Buckeye, taking the first set, 7-5. In a battle for the second set, Cruz sealed the match in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-2). In her second match of the day, Cruz challenged NC State’s Maddy Zampardo, but dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision.
