Cross Country Lacing Up for Alexander/Asics Invitational

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech cross country will be competing in its third meet of the season on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Alexander/Asics Invitational. The meet takes place at 10045 Cedar Grove Rd. in Fairburn, Ga. The meet is going to give an opportunity for new runners to see their first action of the season and to solidify the travel roster.

The meet starts at 8 a.m. with the College Men 8k. After a boys high school event, the College Women 5k starts at 9 a.m.

The Jackets come off the Roy Griak Invitational on Friday, Sept. 24 where the women’s team finished sixth and the men’s team finished 13th. Much of the team competed in this meet and will not participate in this meet.

Runners slated to go on the men’s side include Tristan Autry, Mac Bloodworth, Jackson Borden, Harrison Fultz, Leif Andersen, Harrison Morris, Knox Pittman, David Reteneller, Charlie Smith and Alex Thomas. Runners slated to go on the women’s side include Sarah Copeland, Erin Fegans, Gillian Filer, Mari Cage Lockhart, Clay McKnight, Ashley Sechrest and Haley Unthank.
