Oct. 24, 2008
– What’s up all Georgia Tech basketball fans, this is Lance Storrs checking in today as we continue to practice for the 2008-09 season. We kicked off the 08′-09′ season with the first official practice on October 17, and we’ve working hard on the court ever since then. We are jelling together really well with some good practices that are very intense and test our endurance. Everybody from top to bottom is giving a great effort. We see ourselves doing great things in the 08′-09′ season. I feel that our team is going to prove a lot of people wrong with how we may end up at the end of the season. Our veterans are doing a great job in leading the team and helping the guys with limited experience with as much help as needed.
We are going to be a really good shooting team this year I feel also and think the new line may not have too big an effect on us with the three-point game. The team in general is filled with shooters that will help expand our offense and give more room for our big men to operate down low. Lewis Clinch, Iman Shumpert, Moe Miller, Zack Peacock, Derek Craig, and myself have been making some outside shots, which gives us a positive outlook for our team along with our strong low post scoring from Gani Lawal, Alade Aminu, Brad Shehan, and Bass Dieng.
When I’m not practicing these days, I just relax in the room and watch a lot movies in the room. I am not a big guy on going around the city and finding places to go to. I like to be relaxed on my off time since we are on a constant move in college without much down time. My favorite movies are “Friday,” “How High,” “All About the Benjamins,” and “He Got Game.” I watch a lot of movies, so you can quiz me on several movies and I will probably know what you are talking about. In the meantime, I am going to finish watching a movie in my room and get back to all the GT basketball fans later.
Hope to see everyone Saturday at 7 o’clock, and GO JACKETS!
Signing out from the Flats, Lance Storrs.
