Tommy Gerhard is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach at Georgia Tech. He works primarily with the Yellow Jackets’ tight ends.
Gerhard came to Georgia Tech in 2022 from Tulane, where he served as an offensive graduate assistant in 2021 under offensive coordinator Chip Long, who now holds the same position at Tech, and offensive line coach Chris Watt in 2021.
Prior to Tulane, Gerhard served also served as a graduate assistant for two seasons at Miami (Ohio), where he worked under co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach George Barnett and helped lead the RedHawks to the 2019 Mid-American Conference championship.
A Dayton, Ohio native, Gerhard was a four-year letterwinner as an offensive lineman at Wittenberg University. He graduated from Wittenberg in 2019with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing.
