Karson Block is in his first season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with Georgia Tech football. Before being promoted to his current position in 2022, he served as an intern under Georgia Tech football head strength and conditioning coach Lewis Caralla in 2021.
Block is a former defensive lineman who began his collegiate career at Saddleback (Calif.) College, where he had 106 tackles in two seasons and earned junior college all-America honors as a sophomore. He played his final two seasons at Washington State, where he appeared in 25-of-26 games over his junior and senior campaigns and helped lead WSU to 17 wins in two seasons, including an 11-2 overall record and No. 10 final national ranking as a junior in 2018. He earned a scholarship prior to his senior season in 2019 and went on to make seven starts.
A second-team academic all-Pac-12 honoree during his time at Washington State, Block earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from WSU. He went on to begin his coaching career at Southwest Minnesota State in 2020 before coming to The Flats in ’21.
