Dylan Dockery is in his second season at Georgia Tech. He was named H-backs coach in 2024 after serving as an offensive analyst in 2023.
Dockery came to The Flats after a season as a graduate assistant at Appalachian State in 2022, where he assisted current Georgia Tech offensive line coach Geep Wade in coaching the Mountaineers up front.
His lone season at App State was preceded by three seasons as a graduate assistant at Jacksonville State, where he assisted with tight ends in 2019 and the offensive front in 2020 and 2021. At JSU, he coached two first-team all-Ohio Valley Conference performers and second-team NCAA Division I FCS all-Americans in tight end Trae Barry and tackle Tylan Grable and helped coach the Gamecocks to the 2020 OVC championship.
Dockery played tight end at East Tennessee State from 2014-18, appearing in 36 games and making 23 starts. The Bucs won the Southern Conference championship during his senior season in 2018.
He graduated from ETSU in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in sports and leisure management and earned a master’s in sports and leisure management from JSU in 2022.
