Alec Brown is in his third season as a graduate assistant coach at Georgia Tech. Brown, who works closely with the Yellow Jackets’ linebackers, owns six years of coaching experience.
Brown came to Georgia Tech from Louisiana-Monroe, where he spent the spring of 2021 as a graduate assistant on head coach Terry Bowden’s initial ULM staff. Prior to his brief stint at ULM, Brown served one year (2020) as a defensive quality control coach at Eastern Kentucky. His collegiate coaching experience also includes one season (2019) as a graduate assistant and outside linebackers coach at Murray State.
Prior to joining the collegiate coaching ranks, Brown spent two seasons at the high school level in Alabama — first as the varsity defensive line coach and junior varsity head coach/defensive coordinator at Loachapoka High School in 2017, then as varsity defensive line coach, special teams coach and junior varsity defensive coordinator at Pinson Valley High School in 2018. In his lone season at Pinson Valley, he helped the Indians capture the Alabama 6-A state championship.
Brown played two seasons (2014-15) as a defensive end/outside linebacker at Auburn, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in kinesiology in 2017. He was a member of the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2014 and ‘15.
