AquaJackets Host Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host the Georgia Tech Invitational this Friday-Sunday, Nov. 19-21, in the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. The meet will conduct two sessions a day and begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. The evening sessions will commence at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

“We are looking forward to hosting a wonderful event, and at the same time, posting some great results for Georgia Tech,” said head coach Seth Baron. “This meet will conclude the first-half of our season and the athletes are looking forward to competing against a talented field.”

The fall invitational will be free admission for all six sessions. Parking for the meet will be located off Tech Parkway in between North Avenue and Northside Drive. The entire meet can be followed via live stats on www.ramblinwreck.com.

A total of four men’s teams, including Georgia Tech, will be competing in both swimming and diving: No. 3 Florida, Florida Atlantic and NC State. Georgia, Kentucky, Miami and Tennessee will bring male divers to compete.

On the women’s side, six teams will be swimming at the invitational: No. 3 Florida, Florida Atlantic, Miami, NC State and No. 23 Tennessee. Georgia and Kentucky will send divers only to the meet.
