Current Georgia Tech football players John Paul Foschi, Nate Curry, Brian Camp, Chris Reis, Gavin Tarquinio and Will Hardy as well as last year’s record-setting placekicker Luke Manget are among the 104 Tech student-athletes named to the 2002-03 Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll, announced by ACC Commissioner John Swofford.
The Honor Roll is comprised of those student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year.
Former golfer Adam Cranford made the honor roll for the fifth time as a redshirt senior, while Hardy, baseball player Philip Perry, swimmers Shilo Ayalon and Robbie Foster, tennis standout Jaime Wong and high jumper Jamie Ostrov earned recognition for the fourth time.
A total of 11 football student-athletes, including players from last year’s team, made the honor roll. Marvin Lewis and David Nelson represent the men’s basketball team on the Honor Roll.
The Tech track and field program placed 39 student-athletes on the Honor Roll, including 21 men and 18 women, while the swimming and diving program boasted 25 honorees, including 14 men and 10 women. The baseball, softball and volleyball teams had six honorees each, while the golf and women’s tennis teams had five each.
