2007 Holiday Tennis Classic Begins Thursday Morning on Tech's Campus

ATLANTA – Over the next five days, many current and former top American tennis players will converge on the Georgia Tech campus for the 2007 Holiday Tennis Classic at the Bill Moore Tennis Center. Tech will play host to the holiday tournament from Thursday, Dec. 27 – Sunday, Dec. 31.

Scott Blackmon, George Gvelesiani, Doug Kenny, Austin Roebuck and Ryan Smith will represent Tech and will be joined by some of the nation’s top talent on the Yellow Jackets home court. Donald Young, an Atlanta native and current ATP top 100 player, will play doubles with Colt Gaston. Also scheduled to appear is Bobby Reynolds, the tournament’s No. 1 seed, Don Johnson, the former No. 1 doubles player in the world, Ellis Ferreira, a former member of the worlds No. 1 doubles team, and Tim Wilkison, a former top-20 player in the world.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on Thursday morning at 8 a.m., with matches being played through out the day.
