Women's Tennis Faces No. 19 Seminoles

ATLANTA (April 6) – Georgia Tech’s 33rd-ranked women’s tennis team (12-5, 3-3 ACC) travels to Tallahassee, Fla., to take on No. 19 Florida State (14-4, 4-1 ACC) Sunday at 12 noon.

With only two matches remaining in the regular season, the FSU matchup is a big one for the Jackets. The Seminoles are one of three Atlantic Coast Conference teams ranked ahead of the Jackets in the latest International Tennis Association poll.

Freshman Jaime Wong (Delray Beach, Fla.) and sophomore Laura Ozolins (Toronto, Ontario) continue to be Tech’s most consistent winners. Wong, who plays No. 4 singles, enters this week with a 14-3 record in dual match play and an overall record of 21-11. Ozolins carries a 13-4 record at No. 6 singles, including a 5-1 mark against ACC foes. Her overall record stands at 20-8 overall.

Tech’s No. 1 doubles team of junior Bobbi Guthrie (Raleigh, N.C.) and senior Sabrina Pardo (Aix En Provence, France) have won three ACC matches in a row, improving their dual match record to 10-5.
