Tech's McCarty Wraps Up Competition at NCAA Zone Diving Championships

ATLANTA — Georgia Tech diver Paul McCarty wrapped up his performance at the NCAA Zone “B” Diving Championships by competing in the three-meter springboard event. The two-day competition was held at Gabrielson Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.

McCarty placed 17th on the three-meter boards with his score of 432.40 following the final round of dives. Gabi Chereches of Tennessee was the champion of the event as he qualified for the NCAA Championships in College Station, Texas with his score of 598.15.

The 24th-ranked Yellow Jacket men’s swim team will be in action on March 22-24 when it competes in the NCAA Swimming Championships at the Rec Natatorium on the campus of Texas A&M.
