Tech's McCarty Places 26th in Three-Meter at NCAA Zone Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Georgia Tech sophomore diver Paul McCarty placed 26th in the men’s three-meter Friday at the 2002 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships at the University of Kentucky’s Lancaster Aquatic Center.

He totaled 259.25 points, while Miami junior Kyle Prandi took first place with a score of 589.60.

Twelve competitors from this zone will advance to the 2002 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, set for March 28-30 at the University of Georgia.

Competition resumes Saturday with both the men’s one-meter and platform events.
