Tech's Ayalon Named ACC Men's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech senior All-American Shilo Ayalon was named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week Monday after setting a pair of pool records versus Purdue and Cincinnati over the weekend.

A native of Kfar Hanassi, Israel, Ayalon recorded Boliermaker Aquatic Center records in victories in both the 400 IM (3:57.90) and 1000 free (9:05.97). He also posted a win in the 500 free with a season-best time of 4:30.11, a time that currently ranks second in the conference. Additionally, he anchored Tech’s victorious 800 free relay in an ACC-best time of 6:46.96.

Ayalon owns the Jackets’ top times in the 500, 1000 and 1650 free, as well as the 400 IM.
