Tech Concludes Final Weekend of Regular Season

THE FLATS – On Saturday, Georgia Tech track and field concluded its final weekend of the regular season at the Penn Relays and LSU Invite.

PENN RELAYS (DAY 3)
One of the highlights of today was Tech’s fourth place finish in the women’s 4x800m relay. Kayla Rose, Allie Walker, Gracie Marston and Reagan Mahoney ran a combined time of 8:50.84.

Sheleah Harris competed in the women’s 100m championships, placing second with a time of 11.57.

A group of Jackets competed in a variety of field events today. Jamir Gibson took part in two of the throwing events. Gibson placed fourth in the men’s discus (55.17m/181-0) and recorded a mark of 18.12 meters (59-5.5) in the men’s shot put. Shanty Papakosta took home second place in the women’s high jump with a mark of 1.74 meters (5-8.5).

In the men’s 4xmile relays, Joshua Williams, Nick Nyman, Myles Collins and Chris Cherono recorded a time of 16:36.28.

LSU INVITE
Jackson Sexton competed in the men’s 400m hurdles and recorded a personal-best time of 53.54.

In the men’s 400m, Jameson Miller ran a time of 48.56 and Bradley Favors finished with a time of 49.11. In the field events, John Watkins recorded a mark of 15.05 meters (49-4.5) in the men’s triple jump.
