Stauss Named ACC Performer of the Week

Greensboro, NC – Georgia Tech’s Lindsey Stauss was named the ACC Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week after posting a pair of 2-0 records in both singles and doubles competition against No. 40 Minnesota and No. 14 William & Mary.

The freshman from Racine, Wisc. defeated Kate Boomershine of William & Mary 6-2, 6-2 and then teamed up with Alison Silverio at the No. 3 doubles position to down the Tribe’s Yang and Mowery 8-4.

Also over the weekend, Stauss defeated Minnesota’s Lindsay Risebrough 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 4 singles spot during the Minnesota Court Classic. She then followed that performance up with an 8-2 victory in doubles with Silverio, as the Jackets downed the Golden Gophers 6-1.

Georgia Tech will next hit the court on Wednesday, February 11 as they host Middle Tennessee State at 2:00 pm.
