Valerie Billstrom joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in February 2023 as an academic advisor. She will work primarily with golf, men’s tennis and women’s volleyball programs.
Prior to her arrival on The Flats, Billstrom was an assistant academic advisor intern at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022, working with women’s rowing and men’s wrestling. While completing her master’s degree work at the University of West Georgia, Billstrom worked in their athletic department as a graduate assistant (2020-21) in student-athlete development and academic support program.
A native of Cumming, Ga., Billstrom played women’s soccer at West Georgia where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2019. Billstrom earned her master’s degree in sports management from West Georgia in Dec. 2021.
