John Carter joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in January 2022 as a tutorial assistant before transitioning into an academic advisor role in May. He works directly with the football program.
Prior to arriving at Georgia Tech, Carter worked for several years as a project manager in the non-profit sector.
A native of Richmond, Va., Carter graduated with a bachelor of science degree in entrepreneurship from Hampton University in 2011. He is currently working towards completing his master’s degree in sport management from Louisiana State University.
Carter is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A).
