Jess Taylor joined the Georgia Tech Athletics Association in August 2023 as assistant director of creative video.
Taylor comes to The Flats after a two-year stint at 26Five Creative Firm where she most recently served as a video producer after being elevated from a motion graphics intern. When she arrived in 2021 as an intern, Taylor assisted with motion graphics and supported brand development graphic production. She was promoted to a video producer a year later and, in that role, she coordinated and produced content creation.
Prior to her stint at 26Five Creative Firm, Taylor served as a freelance videographer for the Charleston Stingrays where she was collaborated with the media team to capture game-day experiences through fan interactions, arena environment, and game play footage.
Taylor obtained a bachelor of arts degree from The University of South Carolina in May 2022. During her time at South Carolina, Taylor took part in two internships, working with the Alumni Association as a video intern and the athletic department as a new and creative media intern.
As an undergrad at South Carolina, Taylor participated in the IGTVG Playmakers NFL Editors Cut Program in 2020 where she edited weekly IGTV videos to help promote Gamecock football and the NFL, while networking with student video editors from over 15 universities across the country in the program.
Taylor is a native of Alpharetta, Ga.
