Cameron Allen joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association student services team as an academic coordinator in September 2015.

Prior to coming to The Flats, Allen served as an assistant academic counselor at the University of North Carolina — Chapel Hill, as well as an athletic academic intern at the University of Memphis.

Before getting into collegiate athletics, Allen was a high school English teacher for two years at Hernando High School in Hernando, Mississippi.

Allen is a graduated with a bachelor’s degree in film, theatre and communications art from the University of New Orleans in 2008. He then earned a second bachelor’s degree in English in 2009 from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Ole Miss in 2011.

Allen is an active member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), and completed the N4A Academic Advising Individual Certification. He is also a member of the National Council of Teachers and English (NCTE) and holds a teaching license in both Mississippi and Louisiana.
