Brea McConnell joined Georgia Tech athletics as an associate director for facilities and events in June 2026. She will serve as the designated primary gameday contact for women’s basketball and oversee outside events at Georgia Tech.
McConnell came to Tech after a four-year stint at the University of Washington (2022-26), where she served as an assistant director of event management and facilities. In her role at Washington, McConnell led game day operations for women’s basketball, gymnastics and volleyball.
Prior to her time at Washington, McConnell spent one year (2021-22) at Carson-Newman University as a game day operations and special events coordinator. She got her start in athletics as a marketing and fan engagement coordinator at Carson-Newman in 2020.
McConnell graduated from Carson-Newman University with a bachelor of arts in business administration in 2020.
