Brad Malone rejoined the Georgia Tech athletics staff as director of brand and ideation in May 2017. In his role, Malone leads Georgia Tech athletics’ ideation team, which is dedicated to defining and promoting the Yellow Jackets’ brand to fans and recruits on a local, regional and national level.

Malone is in his second stint as a member of the GTAA staff. From November 2012-January 2017, he served as director of digital media, overseeing the Yellow Jackets’ social media, database marketing and official website, RamblinWreck.com.

Prior to returning to Tech, he spent four months with Alpharetta-based Huddle, Inc.

Before his initial stint with Georgia Tech athletics, Malone spent six years with Six Flags Atlanta Properties, beginning as a public relations intern in 2007. After serving as an account executive for tourism and travel, Malone was promoted to the position of communications manager, acting as the official spokesperson for Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water. During his tenure, he oversaw the public relations campaigns for the park’s 45th anniversary and the launch of the Southeast’s first beyond-vertical coaster, Dare Devil Dive.

The Loganville, Ga. native earned a bachelor’s degree in international affairs with a concentration in management and Latin American studies from Georgia Tech in 2009. During his time at the Institute, Malone was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and served as a Student Foundation Visionary.

Outside of work, Malone volunteers with Kiwanis International as the Georgia District Administrator for Key Club – a volunteer role that oversees a 24-student state board, 150-plus Key Clubs and 7000-plus members across the state.
