Earned honorable mention GCAA All-America recognition with his T13 finish in the NCAA Championship stroke play … Stroke average was 73.5 over 29 rounds, fifth on the team and 36th in the ACC … Had four top-20 finishes in 10 events, one in the top five, all on the more difficult golf courses Tech played … Tied for 2nd at the PING/Golfweek Preview (210, E) in the fall at the site of the NCAA Championship … T13 at the U.S. Collegiate and T19 at the SHC Masters … Did not play in the ACC Championship … Finished spring No. 138 in Golfweek/Sagarin Index.

Summer 2012 Highlights: Tied for 21st in stroke play at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, fell to Scott McNeill in 20 holes in first round of match play … T48 at the Porter Cup.

2011-12: – Tournament Results

Showed the ability to score low but not the consistency required to stay on the travel squad … Had one top-5 and one top-10 finish in seven events, and finished out of the top 20 in the rest … Averaged 72.4 strokes, 13th best in the ACC, and had a 426-180 (.703) head-to-head winning percentage this year … Ranked 115th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Index (157th in the Golfstat Cup) … Played in all of Tech[apos]s fall competitions as a member of the travel team … Shot a team-best 7-under-par in the Brickyard Collegiate to finish 2nd and help the team place 1st.

2011 Summer Highlights: Won the Southeastern Amateur in Columbus, Ga. (278, -6) … Tied for 3rd and qualified for the U.S. Amateur in a playoff at Capital City Club-Crabapple (137, -3) … Tied for 5th at the Georgia State Amateur Championship in Atlanta (284, +4) … Tied for 12th at the Dogwood Invitational in Atlanta (277, -11) … Tied for 14th at the Greystone Invitational (293, +5) … Tied for 35th at the Cardinal Amateur in Greensboro, N.C. (217, +7).

Played in three events, sharing medalist honors at the Grub Mart Collegiate in March … Tied for 16th at the Brickyard Collegiate in his collegiate debut in the fall … Four rounds of par or better out of nine, and had a 73.6 stroke average.

High School: Lettered four years in golf at Peachtree Ridge in Duluth, leading his team to the 2009 Georgia state AAAAA title and four consecutive region 7-AAAAA titles … Named Gwinnett Daily Post boys golfer of the year in 2009 … Was the individual runner-up in 2008 to current Tech teammate, James White, and his team was the state runner-up … Made the all-state team both in 2008 and 2009 … Won the region 7-AAAAA title as a sophomore in 2007 … Honors graduate.
