An extremely versatile and consistent performer on the Tech offensive line for four years… played every position on the line during his career… made great strides on the field and in the weight room every year… played as a graduate student in 2013 after earning his undergraduate degree in May of 2013… a good student who made the Dean[apos]s List, was a member of the 2012 ACC All-Academic Team and made the 2012-13 ACC Academic Honor Roll… made one of the biggest plays of the 2012 season when he caught a tipped pass against Duke and rumbled nine yards for a first down and a key third-down conversion.

2013 (senior): Played in nine games and started eight times… missed three games because of an injury suffered early in the Miami game… started at both left tackle and right tackle… helped the Yellow Jackets finish sixth nationally in rushing offense… Tech also tied for fourth nationally in third-down percentage and tied for ninth in fewest sacks allowed.

2012 (junior): Started all 14 games… started at left tackle 13 times and made one start (vs. Presbyterian) at right tackle… helped Georgia Tech lead the ACC and rank fourth nationally in rushing offense… the Yellow Jackets also led the league in time of possession… Tech does not name an offensive MVP, but Beno earned the Offensive [quote]Effort[quote] Award… was selected to the ACC All-Academic Team… his nine-yard reception for a first down against Duke made every season highlight reel… caught a pass on a tackle-eligible play the next week at Georgia for five yards (ruled a rushing attempt).

2011 (sophomore): Played in all 13 games and started 12 times at left tackle… did not start against Virginia Tech… helped Georgia Tech lead the ACC in rushing offense, total offense, scoring offense, fewest sacks allowed and third-down conversion percentage.

2010 (redshirt freshman): Saw limited action at both guard and center…played in three games — vs. NC State (Sept. 25), Virginia (Oct. 9) and Middle Tennessee State (Oct. 16).

2009 (true freshman): Redshirted.

High School: Ranked #65 among his position by Scout, #50 by Rivals and #62 by ESPN… played for coach Robert Herring at Newnan High School… earned two varsity letters in football and served one year as team captain… first team all-state by GHSA and AJC in 5A… first team all-region 4-AAAAA in 2008… All-county selection in 2007… helped lead Newnan to three consecutive regional championships in 2006, 2007 and 2008… played in the 2008 North-South Classic and was one of four South team captains… maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his high school career.
