Possibly Tech[apos]s most versatile player in the defensive secondary… has started at safety, corner and nickel… has played in 40 career games with 15 starts… has three career interceptions — all of them coming in 2008… played as a true freshman in 2008, earning second team Freshmen All-America honors… with all four positions in the secondary up for grabs in 2011, Reid is a solid candidate to start.

2010 (Junior):
Played in all 13 games and started once (vs. Air Force in the Independence Bowl)… recorded 12 tackles, including 11 solo tackles… recorded a pair of solo tackles vs. NC State (Sept. 25)… had a pair of solo tackles in the win at Wake Forest (Oct. 2)… started in the Independence Bowl and registered a season-high four tackles, all solos.

2009 (Sophomore)
Played in 14 games and started five times — three at safety and two at cornerback… had 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and two pass break-ups… made first start of the season vs. North Carolina (Sept. 26) and responded with three tackles, a half tackle for loss and a pass break-up… had a pair of tackles at Miami (Sept. 17).

2008 (Freshman)
A talented true freshman who made an immediate impact… started the last eight games at cornerback or as the nickel… had three interceptions, tying Dominique Reese for the second-most on the team… recorded 45 tackles, 29 solo tackles and 3.0 tackles-for-loss… also had two pass break-ups and one fumble recovery… was Tech[apos]s second-leading tackler in the Chick-fil-A Bowl vs. LSU (Dec. 31) with six tackles, including five solos… had an outstanding game in the win over No. 23 Miami (Nov. 20)… had six tackles (four solos), two pass break-ups and his third interception of the season… started at cornerback and was a hero in the win over Florida State (Nov. 1)… made three tackles against the Seminoles and recovered an FSU fumble in the end zone when the `Noles were threatening to take the lead with less than a minute remaining… recorded seven tackles, including six solo tackles, vs. Virginia (Oct. 25)… recorded his second career interception, had a tackle-for-loss and four total tackles at Clemson (Oct. 18)… made his first career start vs. Gardner-Webb (Oct. 11) when the Yellow Jackets began the game in a nickel package… had a tackle-for-loss and four total tackles vs. Duke (Oct. 4)… recorded his first career interception and returned it 14 yards at Boston College (Sept. 6)… his only tackle was for loss in the season opener against Jacksonville State (Aug. 28)… missed nearly half of August drills with a hamstring injury… versatile defensive back with a number of skills.
High School
Played three years of high school football and served one year as team captain… led St. Augustine HS to three consecutive district championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007… was on the class 3A state championship team as a sophomore in 2005… also played three years of basketball and ran track for three years… led the track team to district titles in 2006 and 2007 and was selected all-district in the 4×100 relay… a good student who consistently made the honor roll… chose Georgia Tech over South Florida, Arkansas, NC State and Central Florida… selected Georgia Tech because of the academics, the football program, a chance to compete for a national championship and the city of Atlanta…
