2021 Amateur Highlights: Qualified for the U.S. Amateur at Oakmont, Pa., by winning medalist honors at the qualifier at Capital City Club Crabapple course in Milton, Ga. (64-65–129, -11) … Tied for eighth place at the Northeast Amateur (273, -3) and tied for 34th at the Monroe Invitational (282, +2) … Made it through U.S. Open local qualifier May 5 in Marietta, Ga. (T6, 69).

Posted top-10 finishes in three events, including a runner-up at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate and a tie for third in the Linger Longer Invitational, giving him 11 career top-10 finishes … Tied for 31st at the ACC Championship, 28th at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional … Tied for top finish on the team at the NCAA Championship (T44) … Finished the spring No. 2 on the team in scoring average (72.36) over 28 rounds … Career stroke average of 71.71 across 101 rounds, which ranks No. 8 in Tech history … Second-highest among the Jackets in Golfstat ranking (No. 181) and second in Golfweek/Sagarin (No. 144) rankings.
2020 Amateur Highlights: Played in his fourth U.S. Amateur championship, reaching match play for the third time … Tied for 48th place in stroke play and defeated the No. 6 seed, David Ford, 3 and 2 in the opening round … Was eliminated in the round of 32 by eventual finalist Charles Osborne, 2 and 1 … Also competed in the Western Amateur in Carmel, Ind., and the North & South Amateur in Pinehurst, N.C., failing to qualify for match play in each … Made the cut in two fall Korn Ferry Tour events … Tied for 8th at the Wichita Open (268 (-12), playing on an exemption he earned by winning the 2019 Patriot All-America Invitational, and earned himself second start at the Savannah Championship, where he shot 6-under-par and tied for 66th place … Tied for 17th place (210, even) in his title defense at the Patriot All-America in late December.

Opened the spring with a tie for 21st at the Amer Ari Invitational (210, -6), but missed the two events after that with a thumb injury … Finished the year ranked No. 156 in the Golfstat rankings (no Golfweek/Sagarin rating due to insufficient competition) … Played in all four fall events to help Tech win three times, and finished the fall ranked No. 120 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Index … Won two matches (foursomes and singles) to help Tech win the Cypress Point Classic … Tied for ninth place at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational (212, +2) … Tied for 52nd (225, +9) at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational … Shot an opening 70 but missed the final two rounds of the Carpet Capital Collegiate with back spasms.
2019 Amateur Highlights: Finished out 2019 by winning the Patriot All-America in Litchfield, Ariz., firing rounds of 70-65-68 (203, -7) to win by one shot … Qualified for the U.S. Open, winning his local qualifier in Chico, Calif. (67, -5), and sharing medalist honors at his sectional qualifier in Ball Ground, Ga. (66-67–133 (-11) … Missed the 36-hole cut with rounds of 80-75 (see video recap) … Tied for 13th at the Northeast Amateur (276, E) … Reached the finals of the North & South Amateur at Pinehurst, N.C., where he lost to Cooper Dossey after defeating Harrison Ott, Garrett Rank, Travis Vick and Hunter Wolcott in succession (tied for 18th in stroke play portion ) … Tied for eighth, five strokes off the lead, at the Players Amateur in Bluffton, S.C. (274. -14) … Tied for fifth at the Porter Cup (275, -5) … U.S. Open appearance earned him an exemption to the U.S. Amateur (also at Pinehurst, N.C.), where he competed for the third time … Tied for 28th in stroke play, lost in the opening round of match play, 7&6, to Parker Coody of Texas.

2018-19: Tournament Results
Made the All-ACC team for the second straight year … Has three top-10 finishes in 10 stroke-play events, topping out with a tie for fifth at the Clemson Invitational (205, -11) … Also tied for the seventh at the Puerto Rico Classic (212, -4) … Top finish in the fall was a tie for sixth at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate (202, -8) … Tied for 29th at the NCAA Pullman Regional (207, -3) … Has finished 54 holes under par in six tournaments, and his 70.73 stroke average and his 74.5 head-to-head winning percentage are third on the team … Finished the spring ranked No. 74 nationally in Golfstat and No. 101 in the the Golfweek/Sagarin Index.
2018 Amateur Highlights: Tied for 48th at the Sunnehanna Amateur (289, +9) … Qualified for the U.S. Amateur by finishing second at the qualifier in Green Valley, Calif. (68-68) … Tied for 10th place (73-67-73, +3) at the Patriot All-America golf tournament in Arizona between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
2017-18: Finished the spring as Tech’s highest-ranked player – No. 57 by Golfstat, No. 72 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Index … Earned a spot on the All-ACC team and the GCAA All-East Region team … Also named to the GCAA All-Freshman team … Led the Yellow Jackets with four top-10 finishes and ranked second with a 71.43 stroke average … Tied for 15th in his first collegiate event (Carpet Capital Collegiate), then followed with a T-8 at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate and a T-7 at the Franklin American Mortgage Collegiate … This spring, he finished T-7 (Puerto Rico Classic, T-2 (General Hackler Championship) and T-13 (Valspar Collegiate) before missing the Irish Creek event and struggling in the ACC Championship with a back injury … Tied for 23rd at the Amer Ari Invitational, but shot his best score of the spring there (-6, 210) … Named to the All-ACC Academic Golf Team and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2017 Amateur Highlights: Won two matches at the U.S. Amateur before losing to No. 42 Theo Humphrey in the round of 16 … Advanced to match play with a T-35 finish in stroke play … Qualified for the U.S. Amateur by tying for second place and grabbing one of three spots available at Sunnyside, Calif. … Advanced to match play (T-53) at the U.S. Junior Amateur and won his first-round match against the defending champion Min Woo Lee of Australia before falling in the round of 32 … Advanced all the way to the finals of the California Amateur where he lost 1-up in the championship match, tied for 25th place in stroke play … Tied for 31st at the Sahalee Players Championship.
Junior Golf: Made the field for the 2016 and 2017 U.S. Junior Amateur Championships … Shared medalist honors with 66-70–136 at the Fresno, Calif., sectional qualifier in 2016 … Also shot a 67 in the U.S. Open local qualifying at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz to advance to sectional play … Captured the Chico City Championship in in 2014 and 2016 … Scored a 3-shot win at the 2016 AJGA Ping Invitational at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Oklahoma, an event which featured the top 50 ranked junior golfers in the world … Runner-up at the 2017 AJGA Thunderbird Invitational.
High School: Attended Pleasant Valley High School, which won the NSCIF Championship in 2016 and 2017 under coach Dave Crawford … Qualified as an individual for the California State Championship all four years, finishing 16th in 2014, fourth in 2015, 12th in 2016 and runner-up in 2017, and was his school’s division champion all four years, and sectional champion three years … Made the All-USA Boys Golf second team in 2017 … Graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
