2017 SECOND-TEAM ALL-ACC

2017 (Redshirt Sophomore): After entering fall camp with zero career carries and penciled in as a backup, started all 11 games and established himself as one of the nation’s top running backs … Put together the 16th 1,000-yard rushing season in Georgia Tech history with 1,053 yards … Ranked fourth in the ACC and 35th nationally with 95.7 rushing yards per game … Averaged 5.2 yards per carry, good for ninth in the ACC … Had just 20 negative rushing yards on 204 carries … Recorded five 100-yard games (124 vs. Tennessee on Sept. 4, career-high 196 vs. Pitt on Sept. 23, 130 vs. North Carolina on Sept. 30, 136 vs. Wake Forest on Oct. 21 and 129 at eventual College Football Playoff participant Clemson on Oct. 28) … In four of his five 100-yard games, quarterback TaQuon Marshall also ran for 100 yards (vs. Tennessee, Pitt, UNC and Wake Forest), making them the first duo in Georgia Tech history to ever record four games with 100 yards apiece … Also combined with Marshall (1,146 rushing yards) for the second-highest single-season rushing total by teammates in Georgia Tech history (2,199 – behind 2,432 yards totaled by Jonathan Dwyer and Joshua Nesbitt in 2009) … Toted the ball 20 or more times on five occasions (29 vs. Pitt, 26 vs. Tennessee and WF, 22 vs. Virginia Tech and 20 vs. Duke) … Averaged 6.8 yards per carry or more three times (6.8 vs. Pitt, 7.2 vs. UNC and 8.1 vs. Clemson) … Was the only individual to rush for 100 yards or average eight yards per carry against ACC champion Clemson in 2017 … Became the first 100-yard rusher against Clemson since Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson from Louisville on Oct. 1, 2016 (162 yds.) … Became the first to average eight yards per carry (min. 10 att.) against Clemson since Florida State’s Dalvin Cook on Oct. 29, 2016 (8.9 avg.) … Caught two passes for 16 yards on the season (nine-yard reception against Pitt and seven-yard catch against Wake Forest).
