General Info: Highest ranked American recruit to ever enroll Tech, and left as one of its best-ever doubles players … Lengthy, athletic lefty with a big game and potential for the highest level of tennis … ITA All-American in 2011 and a three-time All-ACC performer who is an excellent example for a Georgia Tech student-athlete … Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll all four years.

Played near the top of Tech[apos]s singles lineup (ranked as high as No. 7 in the nation as a senior) and teamed with Juan Spir to form one of the nation[apos]s best doubles teams (ranked as high as No. 2 during the 2011-12 year), and the best ever to play at Tech … Finished his career with 87 doubles wins (87-39 record), breaking the previous mark of 82 set by Sergio Aquirre … Teamed with Spir for 66 of those wins (66-22 career, in dual matches, 19-8 vs. ACC) … Compiled an 80-41 career singles record, 25-15 in ACC matches.

2010-11: All-ACC performer and an ITA All-American who worked his way up from No. 5 at the beginning of the dual season to No. 3 midway through the ACC schedule … Had a 9-2 at No. 3, 7-1 at No. 4 … Played No. 2 on the final weekend of the regular season and in the ACC Tournament when Juan Spir was injured … Had a 23-8 overall singles record, 19-4 in the dual season and 7-3 in ACC matches … Had won nine matches in a row at one point, and won both of his matches the ACC Tournament that were played to their conclusion … Teamed with Spir to produce a 16-6 dual match record at No. 1 doubles … They reached the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship as the 14th seed, knocking off top-seeded Boris Conkic and John-Patrick Smith of Tennessee and two other top 10 seeds … Finished the year ranked No. 9 in the ITA doubles rankings with a 34-11 overall record … King was a part of 36 doubles wins for the year, a Tech record … Advanced to the semifinals of the USTA/ITA National Collegiate Indoors … Defeated fellow Jackets Eliot Potvin and Ryan Smith to win the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional … The duo advanced to the finals of the Southern Intercollegiate Championship before falling to Georgia[apos]s Javier Garrapiz and Hernus Pieters.

2009-10: All-ACC performer who sat out all of the fall and the early spring schedule while recovering and receiving treatment for a lingering tendonitis problem in his left shoulder … When he returned to the court in February, won his first 10 dual singles matches … Finished the year 12-6 in singles, 8-3 in ACC matches … Played his first match at No. 6, but has moved up to No. 2 in Tech[apos]s lineup, and finished the spring ranked No. 97 nationally in singles … Won just two of his last eight singles matches (all but two against ranked foes), one of those wins coming against Virginia Tech[apos]s Luka Somen (No. 66) … Teamed up with freshman Juan Spir at No. 1 doubles to go 10-6 and finished the year ranked No. 83.

2008-09: Posted a 17-17 overall record as a freshman, 12-9 in dual matches and 6-5 in ACC matches … Played most often at No. 2 (3-5) and No. 4 singles (7-2), but won both of his matches as a No. 1 … Paired with Doug Kenny in 24 doubles matches (primarily as Tech[apos]s No. 2 doubles team), posting a 13-11 record overall, 11-10 in dual matches and 5-6 in ACC play.

High School/Junior Tennis: Five-Star Blue Chip (TennisRecruiting.net) out of the Cary Tennis Park Academy coached by Sean Ferreira… finished ranked No. 5 in the nation in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) junior singles … a finalist in the 2008 National Open in Atlanta … the 2008 Peach State Champion … reached the 2008 USTA Boys[apos] 18 National Championship consolation semifinals in Kalamazoo, Mich.
