An experienced senior kicker who will compete to regain his starting kicking role… played sparingly as a true freshman in 2010, then enjoyed an outstanding sophomore season in 2011… was Tech[apos]s primary kicker for one-third of the 2012 season… closing in on 100 career points (he has 97)… only four active kickers in the ACC have scored more career points… has made 58-of-59 career PATs and has converted 62 percent of his field goal attempts.
2012 (junior): Played in four games — games 5-8… scored eight points… made 2-of-4 field goal attempts and 2-of-3 PATs… kicked off four times… saw his first action of the season vs. Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 29)… kicked a 32-yard field goal against Boston College (Oct. 20)… made both PATs, booted a 20-yard field goal and kicked off three times vs. BYU (Oct. 27).
2011 (sophomore): Played in all 13 games… served as Tech[apos]s primary place-kicker… handled kickoff duties 29 times… led the team in scoring (89 points)… ranked fifth in the ACC in points scored per game (6.85)… was a perfect 56-of-56 on PATs, breaking the school and ACC record for PATs made in a season as well as most PATs without a miss… his field goal percentage (.647) ranked eighth in the ACC… made 8-of-10 field goals inside 40 yards… his first career field goal was a 24-yarder vs. Kansas (Sept. 17)… made field goals of 40 and 36 yards in a home win over North Carolina (Sept. 24)… made his only FGA — a 40-yarder — at NC State (Oct. 1)… made both of his field goal attempts — from 41 and 36 yards — against Virginia Tech (Nov. 10)… made five consecutive field goals during one late-season stretch… made 2-of-4 field goals against Utah in the Hyundai Sun Bowl.
2010 (true freshman): Saw action in two games… played briefly in the season opener vs. South Carolina State (Sept. 4)… handled all kickoff duties at Kansas (Sept. 11).
High School: Marist School… a two-time all-region selection… 2009 all-state, all-county and a member of the Atlanta Touchdown Club Metro All-Star Team… made 60 percent of his field goal attempts as a senior and 11-of-17 for his career… converted 88 of 89 career PAT attempts including 39-of-39 as a senior… had 48 touchbacks on kickoffs and averaged 42-plus yards punting… holds school record for the longest field goal (50 yards)… holds the school record for best punting average (41.4 ypa)… had 139 career kickoff attempts, including 78 that were touchbacks… earned a top 12 ranking from the prestigious Chris Sailer kicking camp in Las Vegas three straight years.
