As A Junior In 2012-13: Put down season-best times in both the 50 free and 100 free at the Yellow Jacket Championship Qualifier in March… His 100 free time of 46.08 was the fourth-fastest by a Jacket on the season, while his 50 free time of 20.81 was the sixth-best for Tech in 2012-13.

As A Sophomore In 2011-12: Saved his best for when it counted, setting all five career-best times in the final four weeks of the season, including four at the ACC Championship… Swam on the sixth-place 400 free relay that posted the second-fastest time in school history of 2:55.56… Was 32nd in the 50 free (20.58), 29th in the 100 free (45.25) and 28th in the 100 back (50.93)… Claimed a third-place finish in the 200 back versus Emory with a career-best time of 1:55.45… Finished 28th at the GT Invitational in the 100 fly in 51.01.

As A Freshman In 2010-11: Netted three career best times at the Virginia Tech Invitational in the 50 free after a third place, 21.04 second finish, the 100 free in a third place, 45.58 second finish, and the 100 back in a second place, 51.19 second finish … Set a career best time in the 200 back at Davidson with a time of 1:57.18.

High School: A four-year letterwinner under the direction of Chuck Dunham at Shenendehowa High where he helped his team to the Section II Championship in each of his four season on the team… His team also won the New York State Championship in his last three seasons … An eight-time New York State Individual Champion including three-time 100-Free and two-time 50-Free champions … Also earned All-America status 10 times (six individual titles, four relay) … 13-time Section II champion including six-time individual champion … Two-time Academic All-American and school scholar athlete … Holds the 50 and 100 free, 200 and 400 free relay and 200 medley relay school records at his high school … Earned the Shenendehowa trophy award was named the Amateur Swimmer of the Year and a three-time team MVP … Spent all four years on the honor roll … Senior and Junior national qualifier and holds various club records … Winner of seven gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the 2008 Pan American Maccabean games in Buenos Aires.

Personal: Born Jacob Colby Johnson on April 12, 1991 in Clifton Park, N.Y. … Parents are David and Amy Johnson … Has an older sister Rachel who swam at Hobart William Smith College from 2006-10 … Enjoys playing the guitar, golfing, water skiing, tubing and computers … Plans to major in Biomedical Engineering.
