3-4 record during regular season brought career total to 13-11 in singles matches … sported a 1-1 doubles record … defeated Tom Wright of Auburn 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 (Feb. 9) to help pick up the team win over the Tigers … battled Emmanuel Coste of Oregon in a thrilling 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6) victory to help carry the Jackets over the Ducks (Jan. 25) … earned a clutch doubles win over The Citadel’s Leo du Plooy/Willem van Zyl 6-3, paired up with Brandon Freestone (Feb. 9).

2018-19 (Freshman): Match-by-Match

Finished his first season with Georgia Tech with an overall singles record of 12-9 … started the season strong, defeating No. 10 Alex Brown of Illinois, 6-4, 6-3 (Jan. 19) … battled No. 15 Emil Reinberg of Georgia but came up just short, 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 (Jan. 21) … helped the Jackets take down No. 21 Florida State, defeating Rana Roop Bhullar 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 (Mar. 1) … picked up the Jackets lone singles victory against No. 3 Wake Forest, defeating Siddhant Banthia, 6-3, 6-3 (Mar. 29) … picked up a win against Georgiy Malyshev 6-4, 6-1 of No. 21 NC State (Apr. 5) … picked up the match-clinching win over Alexander Chieffalo of Boston College, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 (Apr. 14) … defeated David Mizrahi of Louisville in round two of the ACC tournament, 6-4, 6-1 (Apr. 18) … finished with an overall doubles record of 5-10 … paired with Joseph Gandolfo to help Tech defeat Georgia State’s Giles Hussey/Jack MacFarlane 6-4 (Fe. 10) … paired with Andrew Li to help the Jackets defeat Chris Grasel/Markus Nordby of Boston College, 6-2 (Apr. 14).

General:  Five-star recruit and the No. 4 student-athlete in the state of Georgia for the class of 2018 … Amassed an overall record of 24-8 for his junior career, including an impressive 14-1 mark all-time against four-star recruits.

Junior Tennis:  The standout senior from Johns Creek ranked 14^th in the Southeast, while also listing at No. 36 nationally at the time of his signing … Reached the consolation quarterfinals of the USTA Southern L1A Championships in Raleigh, N.C., where he defeated the class of 2018’s 2^nd-ranked North Carolinian, Dillon Gooch, 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 … Represented the USTA Southern Section, he also helped the “Southern Reign” team to a second-straight national title in the 18U division at the 2017 Junior Team Tennis National Championships … In 2016, Gromley battled through a grueling match that lasted more than three hours to outlast fellow five-star recruit Mark Militzer (6-7, 6-1, 7-6), winning the Boys’ 18 championship at the 2016 Allstate Sugar Bowl Tennis Tournament in New Orleans.

High School: A three-year letterwinner at Johns Creek High School, Gromley captured the state singles title in 2017 while also helping lead the team to two region championships in 2016 and 2018, as well as a state championship in 2017.
