ITA All-American who also was named ACC Player of the Year and first-team All-ACC … Earned a bid to the NCAA Singles Championship for the second straight year, seeded seventh, but lost in the opening round to No. 52 Shane Vinsant of Texas A&M … Finished the spring No. 8 nationally, the second-highest-ranking ACC player, with an 21-2 record at the top position in the lineup, including an 12-1 mark in conference matches (including ACC Championship) … Only losses in the spring came on the road to No. 20 Wayne Montgomery of Georgia and No. 12 Benjamin Lock of Florida State (rankings at the time of the matches) … Had a 13-6 record against ranked opponents, including one over No. 7 Ryan Shane of Virginia … Was 34-7 in all singles matches for the year, second-most wins in one year in program history, and the fourth-most of any ACC player in 2015-16 … Teamed with Carlos Benito to build a 16-3 record in doubles matches, playing mostly at No. 2, and they were ranked No. 36 nationally … Reached the semifinals of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championship in the fall after earning a wild-card bid.

2015 Summer Highlights: Received a wild card berth to the BB&T Atlanta Open in both singles and doubles main draws … Teamed with Atlanta native Donald Young to win their opening-round and quarterfinals matches before falling to Bob and Mike Bryan, the world’s No. 1-ranked doubles team, in the semifinals … Lost to Redak Stepanek in straight sets in his first-round singles match.

2014-15 (Freshman): Match-by-Match

Second-team All-ACC … No. 53-ranked singles player who received an at-large bid into the NCAA singles championship, where he defeated 31st-ranked Nathan Pasha of Georgia in the opening round before falling to 15th-ranked Yannick Hanfmann of Southern California in the round of 32 … Played at the top of Tech’s lineup in 18 of Tech’s 27 dual matches, including the last 18 dating back to late February … Went 7-11 at that spot, including wins over No. 37 Andreas Bjerrehus of Virginia Tech in the ACC Tournament … Had a 6-13 record against ranked players, but defeated players ranked No. 5, No. 11 and No. 15 during spring … Won the singles title at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational … Played most of his doubles matches with fellow freshman Michael Kay, compiling a 15-11 record, including 8-5 at the No. 2 spot … They won the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational in doubles.

2014 Summer Highlights: Reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Summer Championship, winning his first three matches in straight sets before defeating No. 3 seed Sam Shropshire of Northwestern in straight sets.

Junior Tennis: Compiled a 48-6 overall record in 2013, including a 3-3 mark against other Blue Chip players and an 11-2 record against 5-star players … Won six rounds in the USTA Nationals at Kalamazoo including a pair of wins over top-15 players … Won the One Love Tennis Junior Super Championship (straight-set wins in all four matches) and the Georgia State Closed Junior Challenger (straight-set wins in all five matches) in 2013, and made finals of Southern Closed, where he lost to current Tech freshman Will Showers in finals) … Also was a member of the winning team at the USTA National Boys’ 18 Team Championships, and scored final point for Southern team in the finals … Played in the BB&T Atlanta Open in 2012 and 2013, and partnered with Michael Kay to win the Norcross USTA Regional in October 2013.
