Tashard Choice recorded his third 100-yard rushing effort in the last four games. He is the first player to top 100 yard against Miami’s defense this season.

With three field goals today, Travis Bell raised his career total to 33, moving ahead of David Bell (32, 1983-86) and into third place in Tech history. Only Scott Sisson (60, 1989-92) and Luke Manget (54, 1999-02) have kicked more field goals for the Yellow Jackets. Bell also moved ahead of David Bell and into sixth place on Tech’s career scoring list (183 points).

Calvin Johnson caught the 22nd touchdown pass of his career to equal Kerry Watkins for second place on the Tech career list. Only Kelly Campbell (24) caught more in a Tech uniform.

Tech held Miami to a net of 71 yards rushing. Under defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta, Tech is 22-7 when holdin the opponent under 100 yard rushing.

Tech won its Homecoming game for the 11th straight year, including wins over Miami and Clemson the last two years.

At 6-2, Georgia Tech is off to its best start since 2001.
