Georgia Tech radio voice Andy Demetra goes one-on-one with Yellow Jackets' junior center James Banks III
James joined the Georgia Tech program after playing two seasons at Texas and has two seasons of eligibility at Tech. He received approval from the NCAA on November 13 granting him immediate eligibility, and since then has become the Yellow Jackets No. 2 scorer and No. 1 rebounder. Banks, who has a 7-foot, 5-inch wingspan, has recorded six double-doubles this season and ranks No. 2 in the ACC in blocked shots.
In 46 total games at Texas, Banks averaged 1.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 10.7 minutes per game … Wore No. 00 last season for Texas, No. 4 as a freshman.
