THE FLATS — Week five of the 2016-17 NFL season saw a number of #ProJackets set season-highs and show they are already in mid-season form.
Defensive end Michael Johnson registered a season-high six tackles, five solo and one assisted stop, in the Cincinnati Bengals road loss to the Dallas Cowboys, while outside linebacker Derrick Morgan posted a season-best four solo tackles and 2.0 sacks in the Titans’ 30-17 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Philip Wheeler helped the Falcons extend their winning streak to four straight games in a 23-16 win over the Denver Broncos in which he tallied a season-best seven tackles, four solo and three assisted tackles, in the win.
Safety Morgan Burnett returned to the field on Sunday night for the Packers after missing the previous two games to record six tackles, five solo and one assisted, and also deflected a pass in Green Bay’s 23-16 win over the Giants.
Offensively, Demaryius Thomas recorded a touchdown catch in his third straight game, as the wideout recorded five catches for 49 yards in the loss to the Falcons.
