Moster and Sauer Lead Georgia Tech Volleyball Past Clemson

Clemson, S.C. – Lynnette Moster and Lauren Sauer both recorded 24 kills on the night to lead Georgia Tech past Clemson in four sets. With the win, Georgia Tech improved to 8-5 and a perfect 3-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Yellow Jackets dropped the first match 32-30. Tech rebounded in the next match, taking the win 30-23. The Rambling Wreck were able to take the next two matches 30-26 and 30-27 to pick up the win.

Senior Lynnette Moster finished the night with 24 kills and posted a team high .426 hitting percentage. Fellow senior Lauren Sauer recorded 24 kills of her own, while hitting .340. As a team, the Jackets hit .360 compared to the Tigers who hit .331.

Lindsey Laband recorded a career high in set assists. The junior from Monument, Colo., finished the night with 70 assists. Laband remained tenth on the career assist list with 706, and is just ten assists shy of tying Jennifer Matullo.

Defensively for the Jackets, Marisa Aston recorded 15 digs followed closely by Moster who had 12.

For Clemson, Leslie Finn led the team with 30 kills.

The Jackets return to action October 3 when they travel to Blacksburg, Va. for another conference match-up against ACC newcomer Virginia Tech.
